The Cook/Dietary Aide is responsible for safe and sanitary preparation of food served to patients, residents, clients, physicians, and employees of the organization.
Requirements
- Prepares and serves meals to patients, residents, clients, visitors, physicians, and employees in a safe and attractive manner.
- Ensures that dishes and cooking equipment are cleaned according to standards.
- Ensures food and equipment used to prepare food are maintained in a sanitary condition.
- Adheres to standard working schedule.
- Maintains a clean and appropriate personal appearance
- Displays an appropriate, positive attitude toward the job.
- Maintains or exceeds standards for good quality work.
- Follows accepted standard safety practices as directed by the organization.
- Shows understanding of the importance of visitors and treats all patients, residents, and clients with care, respect, and gives first consideration for their needs.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Adheres to the Hutchinson Health Employee Values.
- Maintains confidentiality of the organization and patients.
- Reports any health/medical errors.
- Observes all Environment of Care policies and reports safety risks or hazards immediately.
