Job Description
Histotechnician sought to join a team in a newly remodeled laboratory at Regions Hospital, supporting a network of hospitals and clinics. The Histotechnician will perform processing of small non-complex specimens and related duties.
Requirements
- Associates degree from an accredited Histotechnician program or equivalent
- ASCP or ASCPi board certification as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist
- 1 year of full-time experience in a histopathology laboratory within the last five years (preferred)
- Experience processing immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or Direct Immunofluorescence (DIF) (preferred)
- Previous experience in grossing of small specimens (preferred)
