HealthPartners is hiring a Payroll Administrator to perform computations, processing, and record-keeping functions of the organizational wide Payroll Department, adhering to FLSA requirements and Collective Bargaining agreements. Assist in training new payroll team members.
Requirements
- Performs payroll closing from hand off
- Handles all processes with the pre-check of the payroll check list
- Responsible for the payroll check production process
- Enters or loads all facets of payroll data into the Infor (Lawson) Payroll System
- Responsible for running assigned payroll queries
- Communicates with outside agencies as a service to our employees within our company guidelines
- Updates various reports according to the appropriate schedules
- Generates and balances reports pertaining to the billing of the voluntary deductions
- Acts as a Payroll Liaison for all assigned organizations as their payroll contact
- Provides excellent customer service by answering employees' questions in a timely manner via email or phone
- Balances and audits payroll time records for validity and ensures that they comply with HealthPartners policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Understands and follows manual checks, voids, and adjustments processes
- Performs audits to maintain the accuracy of the payroll data
- Sets up, computes, balances, and distributes monies according to legal limitations on garnishments, child support, or levies
- Independently investigates Payroll processing issues
- Assists in evaluating system modifications required to implement new programs or procedures and tests program changes in the Payroll system(s)
- Identifies and documents system problems and coordinates their resolution with Business Analyst, IS & T, Finance, Human Resources, and the Payroll Department
- Develops recommendations and proposals concerning system modifications
- Communicates system problems and enhancements to the appropriate staff in a timely manner
- Completes special projects as requested by payroll department management
- Performs routine audits of Payroll Processes
- Documents audit results and reviews them with supervisors, including recommendations for both individual and unit training needs
- Assist with quarterly reporting
- Assist with year-end processing
- Liaison to Accounting for payroll tax administration
- Produces, balances, and maintains W-2 and W-2C information
- Works with the Payroll Business Analyst to test software patches and upgrades
- Assists in the computation of data directly attached to the information of W-2 processing
- Balances W-2 data prior to the distribution
- Performs other duties as assigned
