Environmental Services Technicians provide safe and sanitary surroundings for patients, employees, and the public in both hospital and clinic settings.
Requirements
- Carry linens, towels, toiletry items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Sort, count linens, and store them in linen closets.
- Clean rooms, hallways, waiting areas, restrooms, corridors, locker rooms, high touch areas and other assigned work areas so that applicable health standards are met.
- Dispose of trash or waste materials to appropriate disposal areas.
- Sweep, scrub, and vacuum floors using brooms, mops, and vacuums.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork as necessary.
- Hang draperies and dust/wash window blinds as needed.
- Disinfect equipment, furniture, and supplies according to OHC standards.
- Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses to effectively clean.
- Attend facility and department meetings as scheduled.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
