Operations Manager - Birmingham Sort Centre

As an Operations Manager, you will lead a shift at a Hybrid Sort Centre, managing people, throughput, quality, and continuous improvement. You will own an entire shift, leading 50-100+ operatives through high-volume operations, and use dashboards and KPIs to identify problems and track changes. The role is a pathway to becoming a General Manager of your own Hybrid Sort Centre.

• Proven leadership of large teams (50+) of front line workers in fast-paced, physical operations
• Reasoning ability to think through problems methodically
• Resilience to stay calm and decisive during peak periods and outages
• Metrics obsession to understand and act on metrics
• Clear, direct communication to brief teams and present problems to senior leadership
• Ownership mindset to help build something meaningful
