Job Description
At Remitly, we're looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Recipient & Payment Experience team. As a key member of this team, you will own meaningful features end-to-end across a Go-based backend and TypeScript frontend, and partner with product, design, and fellow engineers to build experiences that customers trust with their most important transactions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- Backend engineering expertise, with strong fundamentals in building, scaling, and operating distributed services
- Frontend proficiency in TypeScript (React or similar)
- Experience leading feature development across a team
- Strong fundamentals in system design, including data modeling, API design, service reliability, and performance
- Experience with observability and production operations
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
