The Payroll Analyst II is responsible for analyzing and processing complex payroll requests, maintaining confidential data, and supporting payroll processes and other relevant compensation issues.
Requirements
- 4 years payroll, finance, or other relevant experience
- Maintaining garnishment order start and stop dates accurately
- Researching garnishment errors and providing solutions
- Performing audits on payroll requests processed by the payroll functions and recommending improvements
- Creating and maintaining training materials for all payroll processes
- Managing all Union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) to ensure compliance for time and attendance tracking and processing
- Calculating annual FUTA Credit Reduction amounts by property and ensuring proper invoicing to properties
- Reviewing worker compensation rates within the system and providing required data for annual audits
- Completing payroll tax account reconciliations
- Auditing employee tax exemptions to ensure correct local reporting
- Requesting abatement of tax penalties when required
- Preparing and submitting amended tax returns timely to required agencies
- Resolving discrepancies with the journal payrolls System and tax vendors
- Communicating directly with third party agencies regarding tax inquiries
- Requesting new tax agency accounts and managing account set-up with third party vendors and ensuring compliance
