Job Description
Job summary: Paint/Body Worker I at Spartan Emergency Response in Ephrata PA 17522 US. Responsible for prepping, sanding, buffing painted vehicles, and other tasks related to automotive paint prep and body repair. Required education: High school diploma or GED. Required experience: Preferred 1-year experience in automotive paint prep and body repair. Physical demands include frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding.
Requirements
- Prep, sand, buff painted vehicles
- Tape and mask nonpainted surfaces
- Seal body seams with epoxy seam sealer
- Grind, and fill with body filler and sand to finish all welds, dents, and gouges
- Sand and shape body filler around transitions or body lines
- Spray primer on areas where body filler was applied
- Wipe down areas to be painted with grease and wax remover
- Sand down painted surfaces to remove orange peel texture
