Job Description
Dr. Harini Iyer's lab in the Department of Biosciences at Rice University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Biochemistry and Cell Biology to study neuroimmunology using zebrafish models.
Requirements
- Ph.D in Life Sciences or related field
- Knowledge of tissue culture
- Experience with animal husbandry and maintenance
- Expertise in molecular biology and genetics (e.g. CRISPR technology, cloning, DNA sequencing)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as oral presentation skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of modern research methods, data collection, and analyses
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of Biochemistry and Cell Biology
- Ability to write scholarly papers based on ongoing research in order to submit them to journals for publication
