The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting activities and maintaining accounting ledger and systems, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
- Manage fixed assets activities in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure audit evidence is organized and accounted for in support of prepared journal entries
- Prepare reports for management
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Adhere to deadlines, time constraints, and efficient request responses
- Maintain fixed assets schedules, including additions and disposals, preparation of monthly reconciliation, and posting depreciation expense
- Ensure accounting records, practices, and company policies remain standard across all business units
- Assist departments with financial statement review, discrepancies, and inquiry research
