Job Description
As a Technical Art Director, you will lead and define technical art needs across creative and technical teams, work with Creative Director to inform best practices, and partner with Engineering Leaders to ensure joint planning and prioritization. Responsibilities include driving implementation of technical art best practices, defining and growing the discipline of tech art, and supervising technical artist leads.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a technical artist in games or related industries
- 4+ years experience in management in games or related industries
- Experience in working collaboratively with external vendors and partners
- Experience with Maya and scripting in Python
- Experience in shader development (e.g. HLSL)
- Experience with ZBrush, Substance, and simplygon pipelines
- Familiarity working in Unreal, Unity or other game Engines
- Professional experience working in mobile development and cross-platform experience
