Mechanical Design Engineer - Custom Industrial IT Enclosures

The Design Engineer, Enclosure Specials is responsible for evaluating customer special-order requirements and developing cost‐effective design solutions that utilize standard Rittal products with minimal modification.

Requirements

• Analyze customer requirements and develop practical, cost‐effective solutions using existing products, components, and limited modifications.
• Create detailed CAD designs and production drawings for modified standard Rittal products (“Rittal Specials”).
• Work directly with customers and sales teams to clarify requirements and ensure solutions meet expectations.
• Collaborate with vendors, fabrication teams, and assembly associates to support the production of Rittal Specials.
• Support development, documentation, and compliance with ISO, corporate, and engineering standards and procedures.
