The Medical Assistant is responsible for patient care, technical, and clerical functions under the supervision of a physician. Maintains clinical competency, assists with patient flow, and provides health care services. May float to other practices as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Program Graduate, Medical Assistant
- 1 year Clinical experience (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC)
- CCMA - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Medical Assistant (MA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
