Sonographer

Perform a wide range of ultrasound exams, respond to patient questions and concerns, maintain daily operations of the ultrasound lab, and maintain a high standard of medical ethics.

Requirements

• Uses imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images for diagnosis
• Provides and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice
• Evaluates images for quality and interprets what image is captured
• Presents images and preliminary findings to the physician
• Maintains the ultrasound equipment and sterilizes the room
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements
• Troubleshoots and ensures equipment functionality
• Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services
