Job Description
RIVR, a Swiss robotics company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of physical components and systems for their robots. The role involves conceptual design, mechanical engineering, design for manufacturing, and integration of electronic systems to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and scalability in last-mile delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience transitioning projects from prototyping to mass production and a passion for pushing the boundaries of robotic designs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Engineering, Robotics, Automotive or Aerospace.
- A minimum of five years of industry or research experience, with PhD experience applicable.
- Proficient in CAD software for mechanical design.
- Deep understanding of actuators, motors, materials, design for manufacturing, power transmission, mechanisms, and contemporary manufacturing technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, contractors, and relationships with OEMs/ODMs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adept at debugging and optimizing hardware components.
