Senior Civil Engineer

Robert Bird Group is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and support the delivery of infrastructure projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have significant post-graduate experience in civil engineering consultancy, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality outputs and managing project teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartered or near Chartered status
• Significant post-graduate experience in civil engineering consultancy
• Proven experience in highway and drainage design for development infrastructure projects
• Proficient in Civil 3D, PDS, and InfoDrainage
• Familiarity with Highways England/DMRB, Local Authority design guidance, and UK Sewerage Sector Guidance
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• Ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, and construction drawings
• Experience managing project teams and mentoring junior staff
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage project finances
• Proactive, solution-focused, and committed to continuous improvement
