Lead Composites Manufacturing Engineer

Rocket Lab is seeking a Lead Composites Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and continuously improve composite manufacturing processes for the Neutron Launch Vehicle. The successful candidate will coordinate a team, oversee product introduction, ensure quality, and consult with design engineers on design for manufacturability.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, or similar discipline)
• 5+ years of composite manufacturing experience (carbon fiber experience highly preferred)
• Experience in a leadership capacity, personnel or technical
• Working experience with capacity modeling, process mapping, Lean manufacturing and value stream mapping.
• Experience with 3D CAD software and tooling design.
• Experience with large structural assemblies
• Track record of working with large and diverse workforce
