Job Description
Rocketship Public Schools is seeking Special Education Teachers (Mild/Moderate Support Needs) to ensure every student has access to a high-quality, inclusive education. Specialists work closely with students, families, general education teachers, and paraprofessionals, aligning IEPs and providing individualized instruction. The role focuses on classroom management, behavior support, and maintaining compliance with IDEA and state law.
Requirements
- Must hold a B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (Mild/Moderate or equivalent)
- Active and in-good-standing credential status with Rocketship
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with children in special education, behavioral support, or related settings
- Knowledge of special education law, IDEA compliance
- Ability to collaborate with various support providers
