Job Description
Rocketship Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate Support Needs) to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with diverse learning needs. The role involves co-teaching with general education teachers, parent partnership, and ensuring compliance with IDEA and state law. School leaders and a Program Specialist offer ongoing professional development to foster growth and alignment with best practices.
Requirements
- Growth-oriented, eager to learn from feedback and coaching
- Experience in supporting diverse learners, preferred
- Collaboration with parents, paraprofessionals, and other providers
- Experience with ABA principles, if possible
- Active credential status for the teaching credential (or eligibility for a PIP/STSP)
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum 2 years of experience in special education, behavioral support, or related settings
