Job Description
The Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA is seeking a Facility Maintenance Volunteer to assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the shelter. This is an unpaid position that requires flexibility and a commitment to regular volunteer hours.
Requirements
- Be able to work without supervision while following guidelines and instructions.
- Be comfortable working on both short and long term maintenance projects.
- Have good knowledge of repair work and general maintenance
- Be conscientious, reliable, well organized, and a team-player
- Be able to commit regularly to ensure jobs are seen through to the end
- Be able to lift 35 lbs., stand for long periods of time, move quickly, work with and around animals, loud noises, chlorine or other chemicals.
