Job Description
The Director of Library Services will oversee the library budget, oversee library staff, and develop and implement library policies, procedures, and strategic goals. The position requires a Master's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science, CA Teacher Librarian Services Credential or equivalent teaching credential/license, and 5–10 years of professional librarian experience.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science preferred
- CA Teacher Librarian Services Credential or equivalent teaching credential/license preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in any field required
- 5–10 years of professional librarian experience
- Demonstrated success working with high school students and collaborating with faculty on curriculum and instruction is highly valued
- Proven leadership and management skills, including budget development and strategic planning
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging library technologies, integrated library systems, and online research databases
- Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, faculty, students, and parents
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the philosophy of a Catholic education
