Maintenance Manager I

Roquette is a family-owned global leader in plant-based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients. We are looking for a Maintenance Manager I to provide leadership and strategic direction for the site’s maintenance organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical engineering or other engineering degree or equivalent in-plant experience
• Minimum 5 – 7 years as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing setting and 3 – 4 years in a maintenance management role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment
• Transformational reliability program experience
• Experience in heavy industrial or chemical technical applications
• Experience in food/pharma manufacturing operations preferred
• Basic knowledge of all crafts/trades
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• Ability to manage time, balance priorities, and manage conflict
• Good analytical skills with demonstrated ability to consistently solve problems in a decisive and efficient manner
• Ability to apply keen business acumen in interacting with vendors, suppliers, and outside contractors
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, graphics & database)
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and interpersonal skills
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with working knowledge of SAP highly desirable
• Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
• Project and/or systems management experience preferred
• Experience managing in a Union environment
