Exploration Manager

We are seeking a high-caliber Exploration Manager to lead and oversee approved exploration programs and activities in support of ZIJIN’s strategic growth initiatives. This role is responsible for driving exploration success across diverse regions, ensuring all activities align with the company’s expansion goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, preferably a postgraduate degree
• Professional geologist and an active member in a professional association, a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101
• Formal training and advanced knowledge in GIS and professional software; advanced knowledge in Datamine Discover (MapInfo), Geosoft Target, and familiarity with Leapfrog
• Advanced knowledge in Structural Geology, Geochemistry, Geophysics, and Remote Sensing
• Minimum 12 – 15 years of practical experience in geological exploration for mining
• Extensive technical experience and expertise in gold deposits and their exploration methodology
• Extensive Business and management experience is required
• Minimum 5 years of effective project management, including local workforce, contractors and consultants
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills
• Creative and innovative financial acumen
• Experience setting up and working in remote areas under basic field camp conditions
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages (Dutch, Mandarin) are an asset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Multi-cultural awareness
• Sense of urgency
• Ability to communicate complex problems clearly, both written and oral
• Excellent presentation and reporting skills
• Valid driver’s license and 4x4 driving experience
