Job Description
The Manager, Exploration will lead exploration work programs to achieve the exploration strategy, targets, and KPIs, and provide technical guidance and peer review to the site-based team.
Requirements
- Professional Degree in Geological Science or related degree
- Over 13 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 8 years with a major mining company and experience of operating at a management level
- Ma'aden High Performance Competencies: Develops and refines existing systems, and develops new systems, by understanding trends within a single field of knowledge
- Recognizes the interconnections of data from a flow of real events within a system (or knowledge field, or discipline)
- Thinks about alternative means to achieve a goal by forming chains of hypothetical activities (if this, then that; if that, then the other)
- Generates and tests hypotheses within a single field of knowledge
- Determines the difference between special and systemic cause
- Professional Degree in Geological Science or related degree
- Exploration management
- Strategic Planning
- Relevant regulations and compliance requirements
- Current and anticipated new technologies and potential application
- Greenfield & Brownfield exploration activities in diverse geographic settings
- Project Management fundamentals, Leadership, Strong communication and performance management skills
- MS office packages
- Advanced proficiency in designing exploration programs and portfolio management
- Competent ability to analyze complex data and derive meaningful insights
- Foundational proficiency with data visualization tools (PowerBI, 3D geological software, database software, resource modelling software)
- Competent written and verbal communication skills

- Collaboration
- Registered with relevant professional body (e.g. AusIMM PGeo) or qualified for immediate registration
- Second language skills (Arabic) will be considered an asset
