Senior EHS Specialist

We're looking for a Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to lead and manage environmental compliance programs, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while promoting sustainable and safe operational practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemistry, or related field
• 8 years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing, industrial, energy, recycling, or related environments.
• Strong experience managing battery programs, hazardous waste, and stormwater compliance.
• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and managing inspections.
• Expert-level knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and industry best practices. In-depth knowledge of RCRA, CWA, CAA, and state environmental regulations.
• Strong understanding of hazardous waste characterization and universal waste rules.
• Experience with SWPPP and NPDES permit compliance.
• Proven experience leading audits, regulatory inspections, and enterprise-wide initiatives and able to conduct them independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level reporting.
• Ability to develop and implement long-term EHS strategies and risk mitigation plans.
• Masters degree preferred in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
