The Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is the companywide authority for environmental, health, safety, and process safety risk management across multi-site operations.
Requirements
- Establish, govern, and continuously improve a companywide EHS management system aligned with regulatory requirements, engineering standards, and recognized industry best practices
- Serve as the primary EHS advisor and technical authority to Engineering, Operations, Quality, HR, and senior leadership
- Define EHS objectives, performance indicators, and risk-based improvement initiatives aligned with operational and business priorities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, WDNR, and applicable state and local environmental and safety regulations
- Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and enforcement interactions, serving as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies
- Oversee environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance obligations across all operating locations
- Serve as system owner and technical authority for OSHA Process Safety Management (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA Risk Management Programs
- Ensure effective implementation of all PSM elements, including Process Hazard Analysis, Mechanical Integrity, Operating Procedures, Management of Change, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews
- Retain accountability for investigation of serious injuries, near-misses, and process safety events, ensuring corrective actions address root causes and are sustained
