Job Description
The 2026 ADGE Principal Mechanical Engineer will perform ME design, development, and documentation of components, subassemblies, and major end items. The role requires overseeing small to mid-sized cross-functional engineering teams and collaborating with engineering and non-engineering disciplines to resolve technical challenges. The engineer will also mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Experience spanning concept development, detailed design, transition to production, and sustainment.
- Experience in mechanical design, material selection, and mfg processes.
- Experience in CAD design tools, ProE and CREO, including Large Assembly Management.
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
