Collins Aerospace is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join their Operations Support Engineering team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is focused on assembly process development, optimization, and production support within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Support, guide, and mentor Operations personnel on assembly processes and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and optimize assembly workflows, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Troubleshoot assembly and process-related issues on the production floor and drive timely resolution.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering on Design for manufacturability (DFM) and process improvements.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities including process validation and readiness.
- Ensure proper tooling, fixtures, and equipment are defined and implemented for assembly operations.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data to support process capability and performance improvements.
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve manufacturing and assembly constraints.
