As a Manager, Quality Engineer, you will manage a small team of quality engineers, support manufacturing, and provide key metrics to leadership. You will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning initiatives, including PFMAE, Control Plans, and SPC, using baseline metrics and projected demand.
Requirements
- Lead, coach and mentor stakeholders in routine settings and difficult situations
- Manage QA team in performing to expectation and mentoring employees in talent enhancement and new systems and processes
- Guide/Support RTX Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) projects
- Establish baseline factory metrics, identify key drivers, forecast future demand, and highlight improvement opportunities
- Partner with Manufacturing teams to align on top priorities using baseline data and forecasts to drive containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Conduct process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to reduce process variation and improve performance
- Identify supplier escapes or issues and ensure proper containment and feedback to the Supplier Quality Management team
- Verify and validate implemented improvements to assess effectiveness
