Collins Aerospace has an immediate need for Principal, Electrical Component Engineer within the supply chain engineering team. This Engineer will assume the role of a Product Component Engineer (PCE) which serves as the technical resource to Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Procurement, Obsolescence, Quality, and Supply Chain. A successful candidate will support all component lifecycle needs for programs (electrical, mechanical, materials, process specifications, etc) and work with the Collins Component Engineering Team for expert-level support as needed.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to hold a TOP SECRET DoD Clearance
- 5+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and vendor component data sheets
- 3+ years of experience working with component obsolescence
- Knowledge of electrical principles and electronic components
