Job Description
Principal Structural Engineer - Additive Manufacturing role at RTX in Tucson, AZ, responsible for detailed structural analysis and testing to support programs, with a significant emphasis on additive manufactured designs. The role requires a high degree of technical competence and leadership skills, with experience in running complex structural analysis, leading teams, and obtaining U.S. government issued security clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience running complex structural analysis with any of the following tools: PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS or equivalent software
- Dynamic, Static, Non-linear, Transient, etc... understanding of mechanical principles
- Experience performing structural analysis and/or testing of additive manufactured metallic products
- Experience leading teams and strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment
