Job Description
The Sr. Principal Structural Engineer - Additive Manufacturing role at Raytheon is responsible for performing detailed structural analyses to support all phases of programs, with a significant emphasis on additive manufactured designs. The role requires a high degree of technical competence and leadership skills, with a focus on ensuring structural and thermal design robustness across the Raytheon portfolio of products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience running complex structural analysis with any of the following tools: PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS or equivalent software
- Dynamic, Static, Non-linear, Transient, etc...
- Understanding of mechanical principles to solve classical structural analysis both inside and outside finite element tools
- Experience performing structural analysis and/or testing of additive manufactured metallic products
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued security clearance
