Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer III to perform System Safety Engineering tasks on new and existing development programs. The engineer will be responsible for performing Safety Hazard Analysis, task bids, attending design reviews, and providing safety analyses training. The role requires a degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Basic circuit analysis knowledge is required.
- Ability to read schematics and BOMS
- Basic knowledge of reliability techniques (RA's and FMEA's)
- Knowledge of writing technical reports
