Software Engineer II - Military Fixed Wing FMS (Onsite)

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their software development team for Military Flight Management. The engineer will work on the avionics software for fixed wing platforms. The role is an onsite position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Proven experience in the design and development of deliverable software, ideally within a production or consumer-facing environment.
• Ada or C/C++ Experience
• DO-178 or similar certification-based development processes experience
• Embedded real-time software development experience
• Agile development methodology experience
• Experience with different levels of software testing, from unit-level through system integration.
• Strong foundation in communication skills and team collaboration.
