Join Raytheon Technologies in Tucson, AZ, Andover, MA, or Huntsville, AL, as a Sr Harness & Interconnect Design Engineer. You will be responsible for identifying system requirements, defining mechanical and electrical details, and developing technical solutions for complex problems related to product life cycle. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in wire harnessing design and/or manufacturing is required, with a preference for 8+ years of experience and expertise with Creo Parametric software.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and/or manufacturing of wire harnessing for military, aerospace, or commercial applications.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design and manufacturing of flex, rigid flex, round wire, RF, and/or fiber optic harnessing for military and aerospace applications
- Eight (08) or more years of experience in the design and manufacturing of flex, rigid flex, round wire, RF, and/or fiber optic harnessing for military and aerospace applications
- Demonstrated expertise with Creo Parametric (MCAD) software and Windchill (PLM).
- Familiarity with Technical Data Package (TDP) requirements to include ASME drawing standards
- Experience working with harness and interconnect manufacturers to support program needs and travel periodically to manufacturing facilities.
- Demonstrated strong technical background with high technical aptitude
- Experience with industry specifications such as IPC/WHMA-A-620, SAE AS22759, J-STD-001 MIl-PRF-31032, IPC-6013, IPC-2221, or IPC-2223
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Very strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills when working with both technical and non-technical team members and customers.
