Assembler (MES) - Afternoon Shift

S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our metal-enclosed switchgear assembly function as an Assembler - MES. The role involves assembling basic mechanical parts, inspecting components, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 year of experience in assembly, with a desire to learn electrical/mechanical assembly processes and follow assembly instructions. The position is entitled to $1 shift premium per hour and may be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $24.25.

Requirements

• Assemble basic mechanical parts
• Inspect mechanical components meticulously
• Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, deviations, and any quality concerns
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling tools, equipment, and materials
• Complete in-house training to learn how to read basic blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOLs)
• Use an overhead crane, ladders, and other material handling equipment to move and position materials for assembly
• Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards
• Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules
