Material Handler

Join S&C Electric Company, a 100% employee-owned company, as a Material Handler. This role is responsible for transporting materials from supply stores to drop-off locations using a tugger. The position requires 1+ years of experience in a material handling or related role within a manufacturing environment, with a safe driving record and ability to operate an electric stand-up forklift. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $19.60, with eligibility for S&C's annual short-term incentive bonus.

Requirements

• 1+ years of demonstrated experience in a material handling or related role within a manufacturing environment
• 1+ years of driving a stand-up forklift with a safe driving record
• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to operate an electric stand-up forklift for indoor and outdoor use
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently
• Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned materials requests
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments
• Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications
• Basic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities and weights
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as scales and calipers
• Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team
• Proficient in using MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
