Tool Design Engineer II - Franklin, WI

S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Manufacturing Engineering department as a Tool Design Engineer II. The role involves designing and troubleshooting various types of tools, including fixtures, gages, and assembly tooling, using 3D CAD with Siemens Solid Edge. The position requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment involving processes and tools
• Proficiency with 3D CAD systems (Solid Edge preferred)
• Strong understanding of tool and production material properties
• Ability to apply shop mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to create and interpret CAD-generated drawings and assemblies
• Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work independently
• Strong organization and presentation skills, including ability to map out projects, prioritize workloads and maintain documentation
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits
• Microsoft Office skills
