Job Description
The Payroll Specialist – India is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant India payroll in accordance with local statutory requirements and S&P Global’s global payroll governance standards. This role supports India entities within a Global Pay Services operating model and works in close partnership with People Services, Finance, Tax, Mobility teams, and external payroll vendors to ensure a high-quality employee payroll experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of hands-on India payroll experience, preferably in a large organization or shared services / GCC environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Indian payroll statutory laws and compliance.
- Experience managing payroll for medium to large employee populations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
