Requirements
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Personal Lines Underwriting Dept.
- Review underwriting referrals including new and renewal business, endorsement requests and administer underwriting guidelines accordingly
- Select, develop, and appraise staff
- Develop succession planning and internal talent mapping & training program for staff
- Develop, monitor, and modify the underwriting workload audit process
- Answer inquiries and resolve problems presented by Underwriting staff, producers, policyholders and others
- Ensure completion and accuracy of various projects assigned
- In coordination with Director, develop and monitor the unit budget and other unit controls
- In coordination with Director, optimize vendor partnerships and operations.
