Certified Dosimetrist

Provide comprehensive treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy and coordinates associated dosimetry plan procedures with members of the Radiation Oncology Team.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a formally organized hospital or college radiation oncology and/or medical dosimetry program with clinical and classroom curriculum.
• Certified Dosimetrist within 2 years of graduation from an approved radiation oncology or dosimetry program
• Must be able to understand the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to derive computerized treatment plans, and communicate these aspects to the Radiation Oncologist for plan approval and to the Radiation Therapist for plan implementation.
