Job Description
The Extern performs specific tasks related to patient care directed and supervised by a Registered Nurse, LPN, Nurse Manager, and Clinical Instructor. The Extern will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BSN or ADN program and scheduled to graduate the following year
- Will have a satisfactory academic record
- Must have completed 2 semesters or 3 quarters of clinical nursing experience prior to the start of the summer program
