The Instructional Designer provides support to faculty and students for curricular content delivery, guiding on instructional and assessment modalities and assisting with curriculum design and implementation.
Requirements
- Assists with the design and delivery of instructional programs, products, and strategies
- Collaborates with faculty on the effective use of electronic and Web-based resources, multimedia technologies, and instructional software and systems
- Conducts individual training and coaching for faculty on instructional design and development
- Creates and maintains documentation for faculty and staff on pedagogy, course design, tools, and techniques for teaching and learning
- Collaborates with ITS to design, develop and deploy new education technology in support of medical education
- Promotes the use of educational best practices in content delivery, evaluation, and assessment
- Serves as an education advisor on multiple committees
- Designs, develops, tests and uses University resources to deliver MD program assessments and instructional materials
- Assists faculty to improve curricular materials, incorporates new delivery methods and increases student satisfaction
- Researches and evaluates new and emerging academic technologies, instructional design theories, and approaches and policies for potential application to instructional opportunities
- Conducts data analysis; produces, distributes, and present educational reports
