Opto-Mechanical Product Design Engineer

Samtec is seeking an Opto-Mechanical Product Engineer to design and develop active optical transceiver solutions. The role involves working with Marketing, Sales, Product Tech, and Engineering teams to develop cost analyses, manufacturing support, and product validation. Significant contributions to design and development of active optical transceivers are expected.

Requirements

• Developing & writing the Engineering inputs for technical documentation
• Works directly with Marketing, Sales, Product Tech Lead, and Systems Architect to review opportunities
• Make significant contributions to design, development, and validation of active optical transceiver solutions (including VCSEL/PD based mid-board optical transceivers, passive optical interconnects, high-speed electrical connectors)
• Effective use of Office365
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes
