Welder I

As a Welder I, you will be responsible for welding on jobs as assigned, performing setup and operation of machinery, and maintaining clean and safe working areas. You will also be required to obtain correct consumables and tools, and give feedback to project managers or job leads on conditions or issues that will impact the job.

Requirements

• 2/3G certification required, 6G certification preferred
• 1 year of experience welding at a 2/3G level; 2-3 years' experience preferred
• Demonstrate ability to use semi-automated weld process and setup
• Understand blueprints and part layouts ('stretch-outs')
• Be able to safely and properly Rig work pieces
• Be able to safely and efficiently enter/ exit/ operate man-lifts and scissor lifts
• Be able to perform sustained periods of grinding, needle scaling, etc.
• Able to lift to 50lbs
• Must be able to stand, squat, bend, crawl and reach
• Must be able to climb ladders or make use of a lift
