Job Description
Sanford Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Advanced – Critical Care Transport to provide patient care and transportation in a pre-hospital setting. The EMT will administer first aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured persons and establish priority for required emergency care. The EMT will also communicate with dispatchers or treatment center personnel to provide information about the situation, to arrange transfer of patients/residents, report patient/resident information to medical staff in a timely and accurate manner, or to receive instructions for further treatment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Training Program required for licensing
- Must have a thorough knowledge of emergency medical technician (EMT) principles, practices and techniques
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) ICS100, 200, and 700 completed
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record required
