Maintenance Mechanic

Responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a safe and professional manner, with a focus on patient/resident care areas.

Requirements

• Must take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas
• Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and show competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices, and gauges
• Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals helpful
• Must be able to explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting
• Ability to work with safety, moral, and efficiency of the department in mind
• Ability to work all shifts and hours as scheduled
• Must comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code
• Must understand written and verbal communications
• Good written and oral communications skills required
• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances
• Ability to perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems
• Ability to maintain campus grounds and perform outside maintenance duties
• Ability to perform general duties such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance
