Senior Engineer, Automation and Control

Saputo is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation and Control to support industrial projects across its Canadian manufacturing facilities. The role involves planning, managing, and supporting Canadian plants in the execution of capital projects, primarily related to automation. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, autonomy, and collaboration skills, as well as excellent knowledge of automation, PLC and HMI programming languages, and industrial networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automated Production Engineering, or other relevant training
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of automation, including a strong understanding of PLC and HMI programming languages (Allen-Bradley, Ignition, Schneider, Wonderware, etc.)
• Good knowledge of industrial networks and Ethernet, as well as Windows environments and virtualization
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software and the Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong autonomy, and the ability to prioritize and manage urgent matters
• Bilingual (English/French), both spoken and written
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Willingness to travel across Canada (up to 50%)
