The Senior Utilities Capital Projects Inspector role supports the Utilities Engineering team by inspecting water, wastewater, reclaimed, and stormwater Capital Improvement Projects for compliance with County, Federal, State, and local requirements.
Requirements
- Conduct on-site inspections and observations of Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) for water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and stormwater utilities
- Inspect treatment, alteration, and repair work for compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and regulations
- Verify all construction is fully completed prior to final payment and County acceptance
- Communicate regularly with engineers, contractors, project managers, owners, and County departments throughout construction
- Document construction progress through detailed reports and photographic records
- Review proposed construction plans and project specifications
- Attend pre-construction and ongoing progress meetings for assigned projects
- Review material submittals to ensure compliance with contract requirements and applicable standards
- Inspect work sites and materials delivered before and during construction
- Participate in final acceptance testing, inspections, and as-built document reviews for Capital projects
