Job Description
Saronic Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Structures Test Engineer to join their advanced maritime mechanical team. This hands-on role involves designing, building, and testing complex mechanical structures and fluid systems to support autonomous surfacevessel development for the Department of Defense. It's a multidisciplinary engineering role focused on enabling autonomy in naval operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of experience designing and operating structural test equipment
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Siemens NX/Unigraphics preferred)
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Finite Element Analysis tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN, or equivalent)
- Experience with Design of large steel or aluminum weldments, High-pressure fluid system design
- Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, and physical dexterity to operate office equipment
